David Guthrie

David Guthrie, MPA, CPM serves as the Utilities and Right of Way Superintendent for the City of Grimes since July 2014, overseeing building code, DNR, and city ordinance compliance. Prior to this role, David worked as a Water Distribution Operator at People Service, Inc. from March 2013 to July 2014, focusing on water and wastewater treatment, operation, and distribution. David also served as a Cavalry Scout in the US Army from 2007 to 2011, conducting combat and security operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and holds a secret security clearance. David's academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Kaplan University, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Iowa Western Community College.
