Alex Jaworiwsky

Alex Jaworiwsky is an accomplished professional in the field of tourism and event management, currently serving as the Manager of Tourism & Destination Development for the City of Guelph since August 2021. In this role, Alex leads a dedicated team focused on promoting Guelph as a key visitor destination in Ontario, leveraging the Municipal Accommodation Tax and engaging with community stakeholders. Previous experience includes various positions at Fanshawe College, such as Outreach and Events Facilitator and Business Advisor in Entrepreneurship, where responsibilities encompassed strategic planning, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Alex holds a Master's degree in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Information, and Technoculture from Western University, and a diploma in Music Industry Arts from Fanshawe College.
