Jim Hall is currently a Development Infrastructure Engineer at the City of Guelph. Jim has over 20 years of experience in civil engineering and project management. Jim has previous experience working as a CAD Designer at Hematite Manufacturing and as a Project Manager Infrastructure Approvals at the City of Ottawa. In their current role, they are responsible for reviewing and approving development applications made to the City under the Planning Act. This includes reviewing all civil engineering components of the applications, such as water distribution network proposals, sewer proposals, storm water management designs, grading and drainage design, erosion and sediment control, road design, slope stability studies, hydrogeology and soil studies, environmental noise assessments and environmental assessments.

Jim Hall has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Carleton University and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology with Honours from Niagara College.

They work with Michelle Thalen - Engineering Technologist III, Shophan Daniel - Engineering Technologist III, and Ethan Barrand - Development Engineer. Jim Hall reports to Mary Angelo, Manager, Development and Environmental Engineering.
