John Edmond

John Edmond is a highly experienced safety and emergency response professional with a diverse background in fire rescue and emergency medical services. Currently serving as a Safety Emergency Response Technician at Georgia-Pacific LLC since June 2024, John also contributes to the Gulf Shores Fire Rescue team. Previously, John held the position of Lieutenant Industrial Fire Rescue at AM/NS Calvert for 14 years, where responsibilities included emergency response, fire suppression, medical assistance, equipment management, and fire hazard inspections. An educator at heart, John has also taught EMT training and fire protection courses at Fortis College and the Gulf Coast Emergency Response Academy. Other notable roles include Deputy Fire Chief at the City of Semmes, part-time firefighter at Bay Minette Fire Department, and firefighter/paramedic at multiple fire departments, showcasing a commitment to training and community safety throughout an illustrious career.
