Stephen R. Bockmiller

Stephen R. Bockmiller, AICP, is a seasoned planning professional with extensive experience in development review and zoning administration. Since March 2003, Stephen has served as the Development Review Planner and Zoning Administrator for the City of Hagerstown, providing support to the Planning Commission, Historic District Commission, and Board of Zoning Appeals while coordinating current planning activities. Previously, Stephen held the position of Chief Planner in Jefferson County, WV, where responsibilities included reviewing subdivisions and site plans. Stephen also worked as a Zoning Specialist for Thinc Wireless, advising on zoning approvals for cell towers and antennas. Earlier roles include serving as a Zoning Inspector and Planner I with the Howard County Planning Department, and as a Park Ranger with the U.S. National Park Service. Stephen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography with a minor in Business Administration from Towson University.
