Dr. Wayne A Davis, Sr. has a diverse work experience in the field of Information Technology. Dr. Wayne A began their career as a Programmer Analyst at Tidewater Community College in 1988 and later served as a Senior Programmer Analyst at Thomas Nelson Community College. Dr. Wayne A then moved up to roles such as Network Services Manager and finally as the Director of Information Technology/CIO at Thomas Nelson Community College. Afterward, they took on leadership positions at Norfolk State University, including Special Assistant to the Provost for IT Projects and Chief Information Officer. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Information Officer at the City of Hampton. Throughout their career, Dr. Davis has been instrumental in aligning IT with business priorities, implementing strategic initiatives, and achieving organizational goals.

Dr. Wayne A Davis, Sr. completed their Bachelor of Arts in Religion at Saint Leo University in 1996. Dr. Wayne A then pursued their Master of Business Administration with a focus on Information Security Management at the same university from 2007 to 2008. Dr. Davis advanced their education by earning a Doctor of Business Administration in Information Technology Management from Capella University between 2012 and 2015.
