Brian Mancini

Brian Mancini serves as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Harrisonburg, VA since April 2022, having previously acted in this role since July 2018. Mancini oversees a department comprised of eight divisions, including Aquatics and Programming/Special Events. Prior to this position, Mancini was the Assistant Director and Community Development Administrator at the County of Dinwiddie from January 2007 to June 2018, where responsibilities included operations management for various departments and leading sports tourism initiatives. Earlier experience includes roles at the Counties of Henrico and Goochland, focusing on recreation management and event planning. Mancini holds a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies with concentrations in Exercise Physiology and Natural Resource Management from Ball State University, completed in 2016.
