Jeff Shafer

Jeff Shafer has over 30 years of experience in finance and management roles. Since December 2004, Jeff has served as Treasurer and Chief Deputy Commissioner of the Revenue for the City of Harrisonburg, overseeing tax assessments including personal property tax, state income tax, meals tax, and business licenses. Prior to this, Jeff worked at Virginia House of Music from August 1992 to December 2004, where responsibilities included management, sales, bookkeeping, accounting, purchasing, and inventory. Jeff holds a degree in Music from James Madison University, earned between 1986 and 1990.
