Lonnie Yoder is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in academia, pastoral care, and church leadership. Currently serving as a Travel Specialist for the City of Harrisonburg, VA since May 2021, Lonnie previously held the position of Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling at Eastern Mennonite Seminary for 30 years, where involvement also included serving as Associate Dean, focusing on faculty management, course scheduling, and student support. Additional roles include serving as a Pastoral Consultant for the Harrisonburg District of Virginia Mennonite Conference from 2005 to December 2019 and as an Intentional Interim Pastor at Mount Clinton Mennonite Church in 2017-2018. Lonnie Yoder's early ministry experience includes serving as Assistant Pastor at East Union Mennonite Church in Iowa from 1972 to 1984. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Religion and Personality from the University of Iowa, a Master of Divinity from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Education from Drake University.
