Cheryl Vance

Cheryl Vance is an experienced Human Resources professional with a strong background in employee benefits and wellness programs. Currently serving as a Human Resources Analyst II at the City of Hayward since March 2017, Cheryl has effectively conducted new hire orientations and managed employee benefit enrollments with CalPERS and other carriers. Prior roles include Program Administrator for an award-winning wellness initiative at the Santa Clara Valley Water District and Wellness Program Manager at Safeway Inc., where Cheryl managed various corporate health projects. Cheryl also held Benefits Manager positions at Heller Ehrman LLP and LECG, LLC, overseeing extensive health and welfare benefit plans for large employee populations. Academic credentials include a BA in Sociology from California State University - East Bay.
