Randy Long is a seasoned electrical engineering technician currently serving in the electric department of the City of Healdsburg since January 2021. Previous experience includes working as an Electrical Drafting Technician - Substations for the City of Roseville from February 2013 to January 2021, where expertise in GIS and AutoCAD was utilized within the Electric Utility sector. Prior roles involved serving as an Engineering Designer at SMUD, where Randy managed various residential and commercial projects and worked with GIS for mapping and easement identification. As a GIS Analyst at MacKay & Somps, Randy contributed to civil engineering projects by converting AutoCAD to GIS data and supporting client proposals. Early experiences include a GIS internship at the California Environmental Protection Agency and a background in the US Navy as an Electrician's Mate.
