Javier Mendez

Javier Mendez serves as the Assistant Director of Human Resources for the City of Henderson since October 2021, bringing extensive experience from previous roles in various organizations. Prior to this position, Javier held multiple leadership roles at Amazon, including Senior Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Manager, where responsibilities encompassed strategic HR management and policy implementation. Javier's background also includes directing Human Resources at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, overseeing HR operations at Aramark Refreshment Services, and managing employee relations at MGM Grand. Javier earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management with a minor in Business Law from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
