Bret Groendyke

Bret Groendyke is an experienced fire and emergency services professional with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Fire Marshal for the City of Holland since February 2018, Bret also holds the position of EMS Instructor at Saugatuck Township and is a Firefighter/EMT with the Holland Department of Public Safety since April 2013. Additional roles include Task Force Instructor at Great Lakes EMS Academy and Lieutenant at Grandville Fire Department. Previous experience includes working as an EMT for American Medical Response and as a part-time firefighter with Plainfield Fire Department. Bret Groendyke holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Grand Valley State University, obtained between 2002 and 2007.
