John Weatherwax

John Weatherwax is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience in community policing and crime prevention. Since August 2003, John has served as Patrol Sergeant at the Holland Department of Public Safety, where responsibilities include overseeing the Community Policing Team, School Resource Officers, Crisis Intervention Team, and Crisis Negotiation Team. Prior to this role, John served in the United States Army from September 1992 to April 1998, achieving the rank of Sergeant. John holds a Master of Public Administration in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University, obtained between 2007 and 2012, along with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the same institution and an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from Muskegon Community College.
