Melody Salter began their work experience in 2002 as an Assistant Finance Director for the City of Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Melody held this position until June 2008. In 2010, they then joined the City of Homewood, where they started as a Principal Accountant until May 2013. From May 2013 onwards, Melody served as the Finance Director for the City of Homewood.
Melody Salter obtained their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Jacksonville State University between 2011 and 2013. Prior to pursuing nursing, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1989 to 1992.
