Brian Chu

Brian Chu is a highly experienced healthcare professional with a robust background in pharmacy operations, currently serving as the System Executive Director of Pharmacy Operations at City of Hope since 2006. In this role, Brian oversees various pharmacy sectors including Acute Care, Ambulatory Infusion, and Retail, focusing on areas such as USP sterile compounding, automation, informatics, and compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, Brian has held leadership positions pertaining to clinical research and electronic health records, and has contributed to academia as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Western University of Health Sciences, Loma Linda University, and the University of Southern California, mentoring pharmacy students. Brian holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of California, San Francisco, a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry & Cell Biology from UC San Diego, and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency, alongside earning the title of Diplomat from the ASHP Pharmacy Leadership Academy.
