Having cultivated an unequivocal forte for unearthing greater capabilities within the corporate ecosystem, Bruce Lawrence offers transformative leadership to scale organizations for rapid profits and market share growth. As a respected board member and advisor, Bruce showcases strong orientations in developing progressive and sound governance practices in highly regulated environments.

Currently, Lawrence serves as a member and advisor to several boards, including Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) and Concord Health Partners, a national PE firm. Prior board contributions include chairing the operations and audit/compliance committees for the American Hospital Association, chairing the audit/compliance committee for VIZIENT (a major services group serving half of U.S. health systems), and serving as a board member and CEO for INTEGRIS, Oklahoma’s largest health care system with $1.5 billion in annual revenue.

As an industry thought leader and visionary, Lawrence provides mission-based leadership and board governance, while effectively articulating the organization’s mission, purpose and strategic direction. Lawrence has established compensation structures for top executives and addressed CEO succession and performance management. In past board roles, he restructured boards, balanced stakeholder interests and prepped organizations to attain pace-setting market growth.

As a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of Audit/Compliance for the national VHA Board, Lawrence worked closely with management to provide due diligence oversight that helped facilitate the merger with University Health System Consortium and the multimillion-dollar acquisition of the group purchasing organization and Sg2 consulting business of MedAssets, both within a 12-month period. These transactions created a new company, Vizient, the largest member-owned health care company in the nation, with purchasing volumes over $100 billion, and providing services to more than half of the nation’s acute care health systems and 95 percent of the nation’s academic medical centers.

As a board member and CEO of INTEGRIS, Lawrence re-envisioned the future through a board-driven emphasis on elevated customer experience and quality patient care outcomes. The multiyear process he initiated for board effectiveness transformed the entire organization. In fact, Lawrence's leadership directives as President & CEO of INTEGRIS positioned the organization among the top 5 percent of non-profit health systems in the country.

At the forefront of executive leadership and as a strategic business partner, Lawrence is a value driver with a passion for driving growth. His transformative efforts at INTEGRIS enabled market share growth of 10+ percent in three years and grew net patient service revenue from $900 million to $1.5 billion, a 67 percent increase.

As a pioneer in the health care industry, Lawrence launched several first-time, innovative and cost-effective solutions to improve patient care and quality. He is credited with creating INTEGRIS Health Partners, a physician-led clinically integrated network with over 1,200 physicians statewide, and the INTEGRIS Medical Group, the state’s largest employed physician group. Additionally, he established the state’s only strategic alliance with the Mayo Clinical Network, offering Oklahoma patients the expertise of Mayo Clinic physicians and research.

During his early career, Lawrence served as President of INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center and INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center. He also served as SVP, COO and VP of Clinical and Support Services at Baptist Health in Montgomery, Alabama, and Little Rock, Arkansas.

Lawrence is happily married with four children and four grandchildren. He enjoys golf, flying airplanes, reading and travel.
