Glenn Shapiro joined USI Insurance Services (formerly Wells Fargo Insurance) in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1998 as a Senior Vice President. His focus is on designing and managing health and welfare plans to employers with 100 to 15,000 employees. He sits on several National Advisory Boards, including United Healthcare and Cigna, and is instrumental in strengthening relationships with the carriers/payers to benefit his clients.
His team analyzes client business issues and challenges leveraging USI ONE, a proprietary platform integrating analytics, networked resources and strategic planning to deliver highly customized solutions with economic impact.
Prior to joining USI Insurance, Shapiro was hired in 1992 by Great West Life (now Cigna Healthcare) in Tampa, Florida, to work as an Employee Benefits Executive. He was responsible for the sales and servicing of life and health plans and 401(k) plans to employers of 100-5,000 employees. During his tenure at Great West, Shapiro held numerous leadership roles in the company and managed the Tampa office.
Shapiro has been an active contributor to many charitable organizations, including the Covenent House Executive Sleepout and Save A Child’s Heart, and was a host for the JCC Maccabi Games in 2019.
He was a past recipient of the Employee Benefits Power Broker Award, which is limited to only a few employee benefits professionals throughout the country.
Shapiro graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree with concentration in Business Administration.
