Gorkey Vemulapalli serves as the System Executive Director of Research Systems & Software Engineering for the Office of the CIO at City of Hope since October 2020, leading technology operations for advanced research and software engineering across the health system, and has established the Software Engineering Organization focusing on DevOps and digital innovation. Previously, Gorkey held the position of Sr. Director for Precision Medicine Data & Systems at the same institution, where contributions were made to defining precision medicine strategy. Additional roles include serving as a board advisor at Armada, influencing edge computing solutions, advising and investing in startups through BUDDI AI and as an angel investor, and holding significant leadership roles at Quest Diagnostics, Xerox, CalAmp, and Behr Process Corporation. Gorkey Vemulapalli is currently enrolled in the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Program at The Wharton School, following a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology.
