Joe Angeles has comprehensive work experience in various roles in both public and educational sectors. Joe has recently served as the Human Resources Manager at the City of Irvine since August 2022. Prior to this, they held roles including Human Resources Administrator and Senior Human Resources Analyst at the same organization from July 2021 to August 2022 and from July 2016 to July 2021, respectively. Before joining the City of Irvine, Joe worked as a Management Analyst I at the City of Irvine from September 2014 to July 2016, where they managed project contracts and analyzed board reports for the construction of a sports park. Joe also served as an Administrative Aide at the City of Irvine from May 2011 to September 2014, where they facilitated international delegations' coordination and maintained sister city relationships. Joe additionally worked as a Special Assistant to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors from February 2008 to April 2011, contributing to policy development and analysis, among other responsibilities. Before that, they held the role of a Senior Program Coordinator at Sacramento State's College of Continuing Education from August 2005 to February 2008. Joe started their career as a Field Representative for Senator Dianne Feinstein at the United States Senate, where they had a role from February 2003 to March 2005.
Joe Angeles completed their Master's degree in Public Administration from California State University, Fullerton, graduating in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Social Ecology from UC Irvine, which they finished in 2002. In addition to their formal education, Joe has also obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including "Nano Tips for Developing Magnetic Charisma with Shadé Zahrai" in October 2022, "Excel: PivotTables for Beginners" in October 2021, "Getting Things Done" in October 2021, "Happiness Tips" in October 2021, and "Mel Robbins on Confidence" in October 2021.
