Pete Carmichael

Pete Carmichael serves as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Irvine since March 2015, with a background including roles as the Director of Community Development and Director of the Orange County Great Park. Prior experience includes serving as the Waterfront and Economic Development Director for the City of Redondo Beach, managing a $250 million waterfront redevelopment project, and overseeing significant property transactions and capital plans. Pete has also worked in asset management at Arch Bay Capital, where a multi-billion dollar distressed real estate debt fund was managed successfully, and held leadership positions in sales and marketing at John Laing Homes, achieving over $100 million in revenue. Educational credentials include an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Business Administration from UCLA.
