Sun-Sun Tvedten-Murillo began their work experience in 1994 as an Associate Transportation Engineer at the City of Los Angeles. Sun-Sun held this position until November 2000. In November 2000, they joined the City of Irvine as a Supervising Transportation Analyst, and later became the Project Development Administrator in April 2018. Sun-Sun currently holds both positions at the City of Irvine.
Sun-Sun Tvedten-Murillo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from UC Irvine, completing their studies from 1990 to 1994. Later, they pursued a higher level of education, earning a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Chapman University. Their studies at Chapman University took place from 2001 to 2005.
