Heather Blonstein Schatz

Heather Blonstein Schatz serves as the Assistant Director of Public Affairs for the City of Jacksonville since September 2023. Simultaneously, Schatz contributes to the Jacksonville Music Experience and Edible Northeast Florida Magazine, promoting local culture and cuisine. As President of Coquina Communications, LLC, strategic communications and content creation are provided for a diverse range of clients. Previous roles include Senior Producer at WJCT Public Media, producing multiple talk shows, and various positions in marketing and communications for organizations like Southeastern Grocers and National YoungArts Foundation. Schatz began a career in journalism as an Associate Producer for CBS News. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Human Service Studies from Cornell University.
