Melissa Ross

Melissa Ross serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Press Liaison for the City of Jacksonville, a position held since July 2023, where responsibilities include creating and implementing milestones and initiatives that support the Mayor's Office agenda. Prior to this role, Melissa spent 14 years at WJCT Public Media as a co-host and producer of "The Florida Roundup" and "First Coast Connect." Melissa's experience also spans public relations at Dalton Agency, reporting at First Coast News and FOX 35 Orlando, and anchoring for CLTV News. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
