Sarah Swisher

Sarah Swisher has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to 2022. In their most recent position as Assistant Finance Director at the City of Johnston, Iowa, they began in October 2022. Prior to this, Sarah worked at the Iowa Auditor of State from 2015 to 2022. Sarah held various roles there, including Senior Auditor II, Senior Auditor, Staff Auditor, and Assistant Auditor. In 2013, Sarah worked as an Accounts Receivable Undergraduate Assistant at Simpson College, and in 2015, they served as an Audit Intern at Shull and Co., PC. Additionally, they had experience as a Financial Assistant at Gremler Financial Group in 2014 and as a Clerk/Bookkeeper at The Store from 2009 to 2014. Sarah also briefly worked as a Customer Service Representative at FreedomBank in 2014. Lastly, they held a leadership position as Vice President of Finance for the Iowa Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity from 2013 to 2014. Overall, Sarah has demonstrated their expertise in finance and auditing roles in both the public and private sectors.

Sarah Swisher attended the University of Iowa from 2011 to 2012, where they pursued Pre-Business studies. Sarah then transferred to Simpson College and studied Accounting from 2012 to 2015.
