Alex Carey is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law enforcement and education. Currently serving as the Community Services Bureau Sergeant for the City of Kentwood since April 2017, Alex has held various roles including Police Sergeant and Officer, contributing expertise in patrol, investigations, and training. In addition to law enforcement duties, Alex is an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University and Grand Rapids Community College, specializing in physical control tactics and curriculum development. Previous roles include officiating basketball games for the Michigan High School Athletic Association and providing campus security for Forest Hills Public Schools. Alex holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University.
