Spencer McKellar has a diverse work experience in the Parks and Recreation field. Starting in 2013, they worked as a PEAK Site Coordinator for the City of Mount Pleasant, where they managed an after-school program with over forty students. In 2014, they became the Director of the PEAK Program for the City of Mount Pleasant Parks and Recreation Department, overseeing the program's operations and activities. They transitioned to the role of SACC Site Leader for Mount Pleasant Public School in 2011 and held that position until 2014. In 2017, they joined the City of Kentwood as a Recreation Program Coordinator and later became the Lead Recreation Program Coordinator. Currently, they hold the position of Deputy Parks and Recreation Director/Project Manager for the City of Kentwood.
Spencer McKellar attended Central Michigan University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Elementary Education and Leadership. Additionally, they pursued further education at Eastern Gateway Community College, obtaining a Business Management Certificate without specific start and end years.
