Jeff Harris currently serves as an elected member of the Kerrville City Council for Place 2 since May 2023. With extensive experience in the banking sector, Jeff holds the position of Senior Vice President and Branch Executive at SouthStar Bank, S.S.B. since August 2021, and previously served as a Vice President of Lending. Prior roles include West Texas Director for the Veteran Golfers Association, where Jeff volunteered to organize tournaments, and various positions at Community First National Bank, specializing in mortgage lending. Jeff's career also features managerial roles at Cecil Atkisson Motors, both in sales and finance, and earlier experiences as a Golf Professional with the Southern Texas PGA and Riverhill Country Club. Jeff studied at Sam Houston State University from 2002 to 2004.

Kerrville is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, and surrounded by majestic rolling hills, the beautiful Guadalupe River, and picturesque trees. Kerrville is 60 miles west of San Antonio on interstate 10 and covers 12 square miles. While Kerrville has approximately 24,000 residents, the city swells daily and seasonally as an economic, retail, medical, and higher education center for the region. The Guadalupe River weaves throughout the community and offers fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and camping.
