Denise Russell

Denise Russell is an experienced planning professional currently serving as the Planning Supervisor for the City of Kirkland since April 2023. Prior to this role, Denise held multiple positions within the County of San Diego from November 2016 to April 2023, including DPW Project Manager, Planning Manager, and Land Use/Environmental Planner III. Earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant Planner for the City of San Diego and as an Associate II at Environmental Science Associates. Denise holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from San José State University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
