Amber Schmeits

Amber Schmeits (Lewis), MPA, currently serves as the Assistant City Manager for Development Services at the City of Kyle, TX, since November 2021. Prior to this role, Amber was the City Administrator for the City of Rollingwood from June 2017 to November 2021, overseeing municipal services and executive leadership. Previous experience includes serving as Assistant City Administrator for the City of Liberty Hill from January 2014 to June 2017 and as Executive Director of the Holdrege Housing Authority and Holdrege Development Corporation from July 2011 to August 2013. Earlier in the career, Amber was Assistant City Manager for the City of Kearney from March 2005 to April 2008. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
