Laura Traffenstedt is an accomplished planning professional with a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Currently serving as an Associate Planner for the City of La Mesa, California, Laura has extensive experience processing zoning entitlement applications and assisting the public and developers with land use and environmental matters. Previous roles include Administrative Intern in the Planning Division at the City of San Gabriel, where Laura contributed to agenda preparation and public counter assistance, and serving as a Community Development Intern for the City of Thousand Oaks, where research on Inclusionary Housing policies was conducted. Additional experience includes internships with the County of Ventura and temporary roles at Barnes & Noble College.
