Alexander Nelson

Alexander Nelson is an experienced professional in public administration and urban planning, currently serving as the Assistant to the City Administrator for the City of Lafayette, Colorado since January 2023. Previously, Alexander held the position of Management Analyst at Arapahoe County from January 2022 to January 2023, and worked as a Strategic Communications & Engagement Coordinator at HDR from July 2020 to September 2021. Additional experience includes roles as Assistant Planner and Planning Intern at Harper Houf Peterson Righellis Inc., and team lead for Faculty and Staff Services at the University of Oregon’s American English Institute. Alexander holds a Master of Public Administration from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Planning, Public Policy, and Management from the University of Oregon, along with a certificate in Leading, Educating, and Developing from the University of Virginia.
