Derek Dillahunty

Derek Dillahunty serves as the Recreation Coordinator for the City of Laguna Niguel, CA, overseeing contract classes for the Crown Valley Community Center and aquatics programs at the Laguna Niguel Aquatics Center. Responsibilities include managing class registrations, coordinating events such as summer concert series and holiday parades, and preparing marketing materials. Previously, Derek held positions at the City of Newport Beach as Lead Harbor Services Worker and Harbor Services Worker, focusing on staff guidance and customer service within the harbor. Additional experience includes roles in recreation and aquatic programming, retail management at Sport Chalet, and sailing instruction. Derek holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from California State University, Fullerton.
