Anitza Valles

Anitza Valles has been serving at the Aquarium of the Pacific since May 2003, advancing through multiple roles including Senior Manager of Web & Social Media, as well as Web Content and Social Media Manager and Coordinator. In these positions, Anitza is responsible for keeping the official website updated, employing Expression Engine CMS, and ensuring web content meets industry standards. Additionally, Anitza has worked as an Education Associate, conducting marine education programs for a diverse audience. In September 2022, Anitza took on the role of Commissioner for Recreation and Community Services with the City of Lakewood, CA, focusing on recreational programs and social services. Anitza holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, completed in 2002.
