Tom Charkut

Tom Charkut has over 27 years of experience in public sector planning and software services management. Currently serving as the Software Services Manager for the City of Lakewood since July 1996, Tom manages investments in software systems and leads a development team focused on custom solutions. Prior roles include Economic Development Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed marketing and website maintenance for the City, and Planner II, involving long-range land use planning and community engagement. Earlier experience at the Aurora Rehabilitation Authority as an Associate Planner included the development of the Original Aurora Economic Development Plan and a commercial real estate database. Tom Charkut holds an MBA in Real Estate from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BUPD in Urban Planning and Development from Ball State University.
