Jason Shachner

Jason Shachner currently serves as the Vice President of the Lakewood City Council and represents Ward 2, while also chairing the Finance Committee. In addition to this role, Jason Shachner is an Assistant Law Director for the City of Cleveland. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney at the Lake County Prosecutor's Office and a Postgraduate Fellow at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office. Jason Shachner has also held positions as a Certified Legal Intern at the Milton A. Kramer Criminal Justice Clinic and as a Legal Extern at the U.S. Department of Justice. Earlier involvement includes work as a Law Clerk and a Housing Practice Group Summer Associate, along with community organizing and service through Americorps*VISTA. Jason Shachner earned a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Religion from Florida State University.
