Delisa Fountain

DeLisa Fountain started their work experience in 2010 as a Job Coach at Peckham, Inc., where they trained special education students on life skills and workplace skills. DeLisa then worked as an Entertainment Reporter at The New Citizens Press in 2011, reviewing and writing about local bands and interviewing mainstream artists. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as a Project Director at N.E.O.N., focusing on bridging the gap between parents and organizations and advocating for parent voices in decision-making processes. In 2014, Fountain joined the City of Lansing, Michigan and held various roles, including Customer Service Representative, Income Tax Examiner, Administrative Assistant, Interim Neighborhood Resource Coordinator, and currently as the Director of Neighborhoods, Arts, and Citizen Engagement. In their most recent role, they oversee various initiatives and programs related to neighborhoods, arts, and citizen engagement in Lansing.

DeLisa Fountain's education history begins in 1995 when they attended J.W. Sexton High School and obtained a degree in General Studies. DeLisa then went on to attend Davenport University from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

In addition to their formal education, DeLisa has obtained various certifications to further enhance their knowledge and skills. In May 2021, they received a certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.

Furthermore, DeLisa obtained a Certificate of Project Management from Davenport University in June 2020. In April 2020, they completed several courses with the GovEx Academy in partnership with Johns Hopkins University, including "Getting Started with Assessing Algorithms," "Getting Started with Data Inventory," "Getting Started with Data Management," "Getting Started with Data Standards," and "Getting Started with Performance Analytics."

Lastly, in May 2019, DeLisa obtained a certificate in "Getting Started with Community Engagement for Analytics" from the GovEx Academy in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University.
