Melissa Hardegree

Melissa Hardegree has extensive work experience in various roles related to communications, community relations, marketing, and development. Their most recent position is as the Chief Communications Officer at the City of Lawrenceville, a role they have held since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Community Relations and Chief Communications Officer at the same organization from 2021 to 2023. Before joining the City of Lawrenceville, Melissa held the position of Director of Community Relations from 2020 to 2021. Melissa also has experience as the Manager of Marketing & Tourism at the City of Lawrenceville from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to their work at the City of Lawrenceville, Melissa has held positions at Notre Dame Academy, The Howard School, Snellville United Methodist Church, and Georgia Baptist Health Care Foundation. At Notre Dame Academy, they served as the Director of Advancement from 2017 to 2018. At The Howard School, they were the Director of Development from 2012 to 2017. Melissa also worked as the Director of Children's Worship at Snellville United Methodist Church from 2007 to 2012, and as the Director of Development at Georgia Baptist Health Care Foundation from 1996 to 2003.

Melissa Hardegree attained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from The University of Georgia in the years 1987 to 1991.
