Sabrina Santos Joplin

GIS Administrator at City of Leander

Sabrina Santos Joplin, GISP, currently serves as the GIS Administrator and previously as a GIS Analyst for the City of Leander since October 2021. Prior to this role, Sabrina was a Founding Board Member of Fruitful Commons from June 2020 to October 2021, supporting community initiatives around food growth and environmental stewardship. Sabrina's experience includes positions as a Senior GIS Analyst IV at Freese and Nichols from 2011 to 2019, where a diverse range of projects, including environmental mitigation and asset management, were undertaken. Additional experience includes roles as a GIS Analyst at Blanton & Associates and as a GIS Specialist at LandWorks, Inc. Sabrina began their career as a Real Estate Marketing Assistant and completed an internship in city neighborhood planning with the City of McAllen in 2004. Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Government from The University of Texas at Austin.

Leander lies on the northeast edge of the Texas Hill Country, roughly ten miles due west of Interstate 35 on US Hwy 183, just north of Austin, TX.
