Jennifer Vargo, MBA, SHRM-SCP has held various human resources roles throughout their career. Most recently, they served as the Assistant Director of Human Resources at the City of Lee's Summit starting in 2023. Prior to that, Jennifer was the Director of Human Resources at the City of Independence, Missouri from 2019 to 2022. Jennifer also held the roles of Vice President of Human Resources at the Kansas City Art Institute from 2017 to 2019, Director of Human Resources at Rockhurst University from 2015 to 2016, and Director of Human Resources at Saint Paul School of Theology from 2012 to 2015. Jennifer began their career as a Human Resources Representative at Aventis Pharma (formerly Marion Laboratories) in 1987 and held multiple positions there until 2000. Prior to that, they were the Diversity/EEO Manager/Fair Employment Practices at Sprint from 2000 to 2004. Jennifer is a highly experienced HR professional with a diverse range of expertise in various industries.

Jennifer Vargo, MBA, SHRM-SCP, completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Human Resources Management from Webster University. Jennifer then pursued an MBA degree from Rockhurst University, which they completed between 2002 and 2005. In 2015, Jennifer obtained the SHRM Senior Certified Professional certification from SHRM.
