Denise Rendina has extensive work experience in marketing, communications, and public relations. Denise held the position of Director of Communications at the City of Lenexa since 2013. Prior to this, they were Vice President of Marketing & Communications at the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial from 2007 to 2013. Denise also served as Marketing & Public Relations Director at the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens from 2005 to 2007, and as Marketing & Communications Manager at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art from 2001 to 2005. Before that, they were the Marketing Director at the Kansas City Zoo from 1994 to 2001. Denise started their career as an Assistant Director of Student Activities at Cornell University from 1992 to 1994, and as the Director of Student Activities at Truman State University from 1988 to 1992.
Denise Rendina holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Science and Government from Truman State University. Denise also has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
