James Owen

James Owen currently serves as a Policy Advisor and Special Projects Manager at the City of Little Rock, focusing on equity in economic development, health, and education. Previous experience includes roles at Southern Bancorp as a Southern Fellow and Public Policy Intern, where contributions involved creating a sustainability plan and promoting asset-building programs. Additionally, James has worked as a Public Works Analyst for the Town of Chapel Hill, NC, and as a Government Affairs Graduate Intern at Downtown Durham Inc., where research on development trends and budgeting was conducted. James holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Hendrix College, with further studies at the University of Oxford.
