Alison Spindler-Ruiz, AICP has extensive experience in urban planning and public administration. Alison currently serves as the Planning Bureau Manager for the City of Long Beach, overseeing a variety of planning projects aimed at improving the city's sustainability and addressing community development challenges. Alison has a dual Masters degree in Urban Planning and Public Administration from USC Price School of Public Policy and has worked on various research projects and program management roles prior to their current position.

Long Beach, with a population of approximately 465,000, covers 52 square miles in Southwest Los Angeles County and is the seventh largest city in California.
