David Thompson, MURP, is an experienced administrative analyst with a strong background in managing community programs and services for individuals experiencing homelessness. Currently serving as an Administrative Analyst III for the City of Long Beach since October 2017, David oversees the Health Department's safety and training operations, labor relations, and various special projects. Previous roles include Community Program Specialist and Multi-Service Center Coordinator, where David facilitated comprehensive support for homeless individuals through case management and housing initiatives. David's experience also includes working as a Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager with Homeless Health Care Los Angeles, where a focus on housing stability and resource linkage was paramount. David holds a Master's Degree in Housing, Community Development, and Environmental Policy from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and African-American Studies from the University of California, Davis.
