Joen Garnica

President - Civil Service Commission at City of Long Beach

Joen Garnica serves as the President of the Civil Service Commission for the City of Long Beach since November 2018 and has held the position of Civil Service Commissioner. In addition, Joen Garnica is the President of Garnica Interiors Inc., an interior design firm specializing in commercial and residential projects, established in 2003. Joen Garnica contributes to the community as a Board Member at the YMCA of Greater Long Beach since July 2017 and previously served as Board Chair for Long Beach Day Nursery from February 2011 to June 2020. Between 2007 and October 2012, Joen Garnica worked as the Home & Garden Editor and Interior Design Writer for Long Beach Magazine, curating and showcasing beautiful homes for publication. Education was pursued at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM).
