Summer Smith has extensive experience in community engagement, policy development, and administrative management. Currently serving as an Administrative Analyst III at the Long Beach Police Department since 2016, Summer coordinates community events and leads a team of volunteers in peer support services. Formerly, Summer held leadership roles in the Office of Councilwoman Stacy Mungo, overseeing policy initiatives and communications. As a Trainer and Policy Lead at CalSPAC, Summer contributed to the passage of significant legislation and has a strong history of advocacy through involvement with the Junior League of Long Beach. Educationally, Summer holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from California State University, Long Beach, and an Associate of Arts in Studio Art from Santa Barbara City College.
