Charles Shirley Jr.

Charles Shirley Jr. has extensive experience in public administration and emergency management, serving as the Business Administrator and Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Long Branch since October 1997. Charles has held multiple positions in law enforcement, including Police Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Officer in various specialties, showcasing a diverse range of skills. Additionally, Charles served as Deputy Fire Marshal for the County of Monmouth from January 2017 to January 2024 and was the Fire Marshal for the Borough of West Long Branch from February 2009 to February 2023. Charles obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University between 2015 and 2017.
