Jennifer Lazo MS, CEM, currently serves as Emergency Management Coordinator II with the City of Los Angeles, leading the Innovation and Development Division within the LA City Emergency Management Department. Lazo's experience includes managing the Everbridge emergency alerting system, coordinating disaster response for the City of Berkeley, and developing the Community Resilience Center program. Previous roles include serving as a volunteer government liaison with the American Red Cross, conducting graduate research on community resilience, and training individuals in disaster preparedness. Lazo holds a Master's degree in Disaster Science and Management from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Southern California.
