John Lee

John Lee currently serves as a Councilmember for the City of Los Angeles since September 2019. Prior to this role, John was the President & CEO of JSL Advisory Group from June 2017 to December 2018. John’s extensive career in public service also includes positions as Chief of Staff and Chief Legislative Deputy for Council District 12, supporting Councilmembers Mitchell Englander and Greig Smith, respectively. Additionally, John has experience as a Deputy in the California State Assembly under Assemblymember Tony Cardenas and in Los Angeles City Council District 2 under Councilmember Joel Wachs. John Lee pursued education at California State University, Northridge between 2002 and 2004.
