Monica Rodriguez has served as Councilwoman for the City of Los Angeles since May 2017, having been re-elected on June 7, 2022, with the highest percentage victory in the city's history. Prior to this role, Rodriguez was the Vice President of the Board of Public Works from July 2013 to August 2016, where leadership included overseeing city infrastructure and managing a budget of over $565 million. Additional experience includes positions as Director of Fundraising & Housing Opportunity at the California Association of Realtors, Consultant at Two Roads Consulting, Inc., Chief Deputy/Senior Policy Advisor for the Los Angeles Unified School District, and Community Affairs Manager for the Office of Mayor Richard Riordan. Rodriguez holds a Bachelor's Degree in Politics from Occidental College, earned in 1996.
